Nu Genea is the artistic project of musicians/DJs Massimo Di Lena and Lucio Aquilina. The inspirational key comes from a historiographic investigation of dance music since its first steps: following music routes around the world, Nu Genea collected the sonic echoes that, through the centuries, have touched the shores of Napels, their hometown and inexhaustible source of cross-cultural sensitivity. Their meticulous research stands out for exploring uncharted territories, scouring the music from the past and elaborating it in an original groovy equation fully pervaded by disco, funk, boogie, electronic, dub, folk and many more.

Andrea Benini (born March 14, 1977), better known by his stage name Mop Mop,  is an Italian musician and producer. He performs with his band, the Mop Mop Combo, as well as a DJ worldwide. Five studio albums, many Singles and over 40 Million streams make Mop Mop a “cult” reference in the international “World” music field. Iggy Pop plays Mop Mop at UK’s BBC radio, Woody Allen chose them for one of his movies and the Funk legend Fred Wesley  (James Brown’s co-arranger) signed with Benini the tune “Run Around”, awarded in 2013 as best “Dancefloor track” for the Red Bull Music Academy, Germany.
