In addition to his professorship at the Conservatory of the City of Luxembourg, Schumacher performs as a soloist worldwide with orchestras such as the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, WDR Symphony Orchestra, Camerata Megaron, and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Luxembourg. With his quartet, he has been a guest at the most important jazz festivals and has played in musical capitals of the world such as Tokyo, Beijing, New York, Shanghai, Paris, Berlin and London. As part of his regular appearances at the Jazz & The City Festival in Salzburg, he began to focus increasingly on the solo facet of his music.
Wherever he plays, Schumacher impresses audiences with his remarkable talent and sensitivity on the vibraphone. The nature of the instrument and Schumacher's skilful handling of it promise beautiful and radiant sounds that fill the concert hall and create an intimate, unique and unforgettable concert experience for the audience.
