XJAZZ! FESTIVAL 2023
13.MAY @ AEDEN OPEN AIR

Berlin-based Dj, Host, and Graphic Artist Rafa Cunha, aka Rafush, claims her space throughout the club scene. An artist who can quickly change platforms to express herself and fight for what she believes.

She sees an urgent need for more diversity, and awareness in club culture. "Before techno became white and hedonistic, it was black and politically conceived —a byproduct of African-American struggle, and a form of protest. Underground resistance was in no way a euphemism but a reality. She engages in a more intentional, aware, and politiucal club culture.

Co-founder of the newborn collective BIPOC Yoko Yoko, member of the multi-disciplinary Ouch collective, and the FLINT+ collective Belladona, Rafush has many topics on her agenda. Yoko Yoko, an afro-futurist, post-border, inter-disciplinary BIPOC collective, aims to provide safer spaces for BIPOC, and build awareness, and critical thinking on the struggle of race and gender. OUCH collective focuses on music and inclusivity, curating unique evenings full of rare grooves, spanning experimental electronics, new productions, and obscurities with a worldwide perspective stepping out of the usual binary sounds in the club scene.
