For the Friday opening of XJAZZ! WEEKENDER, we’re joining forces with Refuge Worldwide - Berlin’s community radio platform that has become a powerhouse for independent music cultureю

For this special takeover, Refuge Worldwide brings together three selectors with radically different approaches — and impressive trajectories.

Maryisonacid

Founder of the Berlin collective and label African Acid Is The Future, Maryisonacid has spent the last decade reshaping the city’s underground through parties, listening sessions, and globally recognised DJ sets. Her work has connected her with Worldwide FM, Rhythm Section, Boiler Room, and international festivals from Berlin to Mumbai.

Marylou

French-born, Berlin-based selector Marylou is a regular on NTS, Rinse France, Cashmere Radio, and Refuge Worldwide. She has played festivals and spaces such as CTM, Atonal, Terraforma, Intonal, and Cafe Oto. Her sets move freely between dub, improvisational jazz, bass music, footwork, jungle, noise, and psychedelic electronics.

NM DJ

Berlin-based artist and selector NM DJ operates somewhere between radio experimentation and club storytelling. Through Refuge Worldwide and the TABLOID Soundsystem series, she has developed a highly atmospheric approach blending ambient, jungle, spoken word, house, and experimental textures.
